For the crust:
- 1/2 cup butter or margerine, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
Preheat oven to 350F.
Mix together and press firmly into the bottom of an 8" square baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes; remove and allow to cool on a rack.
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla. Stir in coconut and pecans. Pour over crust and bake for 25 minutes longer.
Allow to cool and firm up before cutting into bars.
