For the salad:

- 4 cups strawberrys, sliced
- 1/4 cup toasted almond slivers
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 small onion
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons poppy seeds
